We are reeling from last night’s fully virtual ceremony for the Global Digital Excellence Awards. After having received a phenomenal 15 nominations, including three agency awards, we were delighted to go home with (or rather stay home with) a stunning total of eight awards!
This was a triumph for our brilliant, globally digitally excellent teams who devoted themselves to these campaigns, whose hard work, alongside the support of our clients Sephora, kartenmacherei, and faireparterie earned us the awards for five categories.
Plus, a win that all our Peak Acers can share in is our three agency awards – truly something that we could never have achieved without every single person in the company, top to bottom, past and present, over the last year.
Although a little surreal to attend a fully online awards ceremony, it was wonderful to see how the Don’t Panic! team adapted to the restrictions of social distancing – without compromising on spectacle. Could this get any better? Well, yes – the victory was made all the sweeter, because rather than just adding an extra trophy or two to our cabinet, 20% of all awards entry revenue will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. That means that we and all our fellow entrants have also contributed thousands towards the global fight against the pandemic. Win-win-win!

About the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund
We are all affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic. It’s an unprecedented health challenge and the world has never faced a crisis like COVID-19. The pandemic is impacting communities everywhere. It’s never been more urgent to support the global response, led by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Donations support WHO’s work, including with partners, to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate research and development of a vaccine and treatments for all who need them.
Some donations also support Fund partners UNICEF, for its work on COVID-19 among vulnerable communities including children, and the vaccine development alliance CEPI.
