In case you’re not familiar, the European Search Awards are a cornerstone of search marketing awards going back a decade and the most important body recognising excellence in search marketing in Europe. They recognise SEO, PPC and content marketing successes and celebrate talent and innovation in these areas.

We have a great history with these awards. Last year we took home 4 European Search Awards, including Best Large SEO Agency and Best SEO Campaign, and we are delighted to continue our legacy in 2021.

    Our winning campaigns in focus

What to know more about why we won? Let’s take a closer look at the strategies behind some of our winning campaigns.

Peak Ace and Chlor-Pool Shop – Swimming against the COVID-19 tide

2020 was a tough year for many of us, so we were really excited to work with Pool-Chlor-Shop, who actually saw an increase in business with the lockdown. Pool-Chlor-Shop started providing people with everything they need for their swimming pools in 1996 and has been thriving ever since.

Quickly completing the account restructure meant we were ready to meet the summer’s unexpected demand.

We aimed to attract new customers, improve the customer satisfaction rate, and work on security-related technical features. Our strategy included:

    1. PPC campaigns, which covered all relevant search terms to reach more users with relevant interests,
    2. CRO-optimised landing pages for improved trust,
    3. Optimised cookie consent opt-in banners for data collection.

With search trends changing rapidly, our team had to think fast to capitalise on the increased interest in pool supplies., Thanks to a dynamite strategy and our automated campaign creation approach, we turned this interest into a significant rise in customers!

We boosted click coverage to 120% above peer group average and increased revenue by 131% YoY!

It was also thanks to the trust of our client that the team surpassed all their goals with flying colours. Even more astonishingly, these revenue figures could have been even higher – but pools were so popular, the entire industry was short!

Robert Dicke, CEO of Pool-Chlor-Shop GbR, said:

“2020 was a record-breaking year for us – we’re looking forward to breaking another one with Peak Ace this year!”

Peak Ace & TIMOCOM – Rebuilding Paid Search from Lisbon to Moscow

Europe’s leading procurement platform for transport contracts, to reinvent their paid search channel. The corona crisis shook the transport industry – and it needed to react.

Our detailed audit of TIMOCOM’s campaigns in 25 countries showed the account structure and tracking needed optimisation work.

So, we got to work developing a strategy:

    1. Localise the languages,
    2. Launch a new structure with our MarTech team and CRO department,
    3. Use digital analytics to boost conversions.

We built campaigns in 24 languages, which are now live in 28 countries and ended the collaboration with 831 campaigns, and 7,099 ad groups and ads!

    And our client was happy:

“Both operationally and in terms of consulting, Peak Ace shows us new ways to get even more out of our PPC campaigns”.

Peak Ace and Zava – Trust me, I’m an online doctor

We worked with Zava, a European e-heath provider, to create a data-driven content strategy. We wanted to position the company as an authority within the medical field. Our campaign was based on rigorous research and a partnership with a reputable marketing research institute. Ultimately, we produced a great deal of data on medical topics that are still often overlooked in the media and society.

The data formed the soul of our content pieces, which covered subjects ranging from how childless women can face ostracization (whether they are voluntarily childless or not), to the digitisation of the medical field. Our outreach strategy and campaign took on taboo topics, while embracing the scrutiny the COVID-19 pandemic placed on healthcare systems and medicine worldwide.

Our results dramatically improved Zava’s profile, greatly increasing its authority score with a huge rise in high-trust media mentions.

We are very proud that this campaign brought attention to social issues still too-little talked about in 2021.

    Our client was similarly pleased:

“Thanks to our productive collaboration, smart use of digital PR and synergies between us and Peak Ace, the campaign was so successful we can’t wait to roll it out internationally.”

    Time to celebrate!

Peak Ace CEO Bastian Grimm says of the news:

“We’re so happy to end the month with these awards, continuing our winning streak at the European Search Awards! What an extraordinary achievement for everyone here at Peak Ace. Thanks to everyone who was involved.”

Congratulations to all our fellow winners! Bring on June 2021.
