A newer addition to the Don’t Panic events roster, the Global Digital Excellence Awards celebrates excellence with a broader focus than the purely agency or channel awards. We swept the 2020 Global Digital Excellence Awards with 8 wins out of 15 nominations. It was also one of our first virtual awards ceremonies – very historic! Feels even better to have beaten our win count from last year.
We’re particularly delighted to add these trophies to our shelf after the news that Peak Ace is second on the Global Search Awards leaderboard for most awards won in Europe!

Peak Ace and Chlor-Pool Shop – Swimming against the COVID-19 tide
Our work with Pool-Chlor-Shop has already scooped its fair share of awards. A swimming pool shop based in Germany, Pool-Chlor Shop saw an unexpected uptick in business in 2020 – which meant our quick campaign restructure in February and March saw us on good footing for the summer rush.
Our campaign aims were to attract new customers, improve the customer satisfaction rate, and work on security-related technical features. Rapidly-changing search trends meant we had to think fast to make the most of the renewed interest in pools. Combined with a great strategy and a dash of automation, we had a winner on our hands!
We boosted click coverage to 120% above peer group average and increased revenue by 131% YoY. Plus, not only did our team exceed all their goals, but the revenue figures could have been even higher – had the pool mania not caused an industry-wide shortage!

Peak Ace & TIMOCOM – Rebuilding Paid Search from Lisbon to Moscow
TIMOCOM, Europe’s leading procurement platform for transport contracts, needed their paid search channel overhauled (sort of a pun there?) in the wake of the corona crisis. We got to work, with our audit showing exactly how and where TIMOCOM’s account structure and tracking could use some optimisations.
We built campaigns in 24 languages, which are now live in 28 countries and ended the collaboration with 831 campaigns, and 7,099 ad groups and ads!

Peak Ace and Zava – Trust me, I’m an online doctor
European telehealth provider Zava needed a content strategy that raised its profile and positioned it as an expert. That’s why our team produced a data-driven campaign, publishing papers on little-discussed but socially urgent medical topics like how we treat childless women in society and the digitalisation of the medical field.
The results? Zava’s authority score increased thanks to a great deal of high-trust media mentions, and the attention was especially useful in a year where a digital solution for medical care was in such great demand.
